Another drawing of the dog, now stretching in a classic "down dog" pose, mouth gaping in a yawn, saying "Yorp!" Yet another drawing: he bridges himself into what can only be described as attempting a doggy handstand. He makes gurgle goblin noises. In the last drawing, he stands alert, cheeks puffed as he makes soft huffy barks without opening his mouth, like "Pff, pff"

This has been my last few days, so some notes if you're going on a Linux+CSP journey:

So you’re telling me the Wizard of Oz presented itself as a towering force of overwhelming technology, only to be unmasked as just some guy, off-screen?

It does lend itself to lots of tinkering! Every time I think "you know what, it would be great if this feature worked a little more like Windows" there's a way to do it. You just have to be willing to type a lot (and I have a very clicky keyboard which makes this feel correct).

I swear I'm going to stop posting about Linux soon but I'm surprised at how fast everything feels. It's subtle, but it's there.

It's a weird OS. Either nothing works and you're left digging through the command line for hours, or something you were sure would fail just functions.

I think I might make a little website with all this once I'm a little more sure it all actually works. There are definitely a lot of frustrating learning curve things here, but that's mostly due to a lack of documentation. This may be viable.

btw you know how you can copy the CSP CELSYSUserData folder over to restore your old settings? Yeah that just works here too.

Wine doesn't work with windows drivers, it's all emulation (if I understand it correctly). You'd have to use a virtual machine to do that?

Oh right, and here is what my preferences in CSP look like (I'm using CPS 2 -- it's the one I own and apparently later versions do not work as well). Clicking "use mouse in tablet mode" should do the trick, and if it doesn't try closing and reopening CSP. That worked for me.

That's all I have now, hopefully it helps! If you're more Linux savvy than I am (I very much am new to all this) please feel free to add your own advice.

- If wine is rendering things *tiny as all hell* you can adjust this in the winecfg graphics tab. Just move that slider until the font is readable and everything should render nicely the next time you run it.

- To run CSP you might need to set the windows version to 8.1 and use the concrt140 library override. You can do this using the `winecfg` command in the "Applications" and "Libraries" tabs (there are console commands for this too).

- If you're using a Huion tablet they provide official drivers for Linux. Visit here: www.huion.com/download/ and download the drivers for your device and distro.

Lesson learned: always use the latest software and restart things

NOPE NEVER MIND I RESTARTED IT AND IT WORKS NOW

Still can't get touch sensitivity to work (I fear it's due to me using a Huion tablet), but it solved most other problems.

A big note if you're going to be doing this: the wine version linux mint installs IS NOT the latest version. Install it directly from WineHQ instead (you'll have to use the terminal, but you're on Linux, this is your life now).

Yeah I've done that a few times, but something has gone wrong with some deep config or something and it refuses to integrate with Mint or access folders it should be able to. I'll probably take another look tomorrow before I nuke everything -- I am still figuring out where linux puts everything.

Those both have native Linux installers! They work quite well, but CSP is just required for the work I do.

It certainly is not easy! I may end up defeated by it.
