I certainly would highlight that study in both the proposal and vertebrate care use section. Also in the response try to give progeny yield numbers etc. And draw their attention to the vertebrate section for details perhaps

Is it commercially available? KOMP2 consortium? Published evidence?

They likely want to know your transgenic animal is giving enough progeny, not embryonic lethal, and does live long enough for the duration.

Why the actual F would alumni pledge to such institutions if it's not for students, faculty or native, I fail to understand. It's a predatory business at best

And where exactly are the supposed to haul their belongings to for the holidays? Universities are no longer for 'education'. The obscene amount of endowments need to be used to stripped away. It's not used for fees, faculty/grad student/postdoc salary/stipend, or lab infrastructure or scholarships.
