Our Office 365 environment (I haven't put in any effort to see if it's more widespread; I'm guessing not) seems to have some weird issue where updates to already scheduled Zoom meetings (e.g. cancellation or time change) don't update the existing event. Great to have phantom meetings on my calendar.

I usually have an affinity for gear featuring Mr. Redlegs… but not this. This is heinous.

I was super stoked to see Aston Villa in Louisville last night. I figured I would never get the chance to see my EPL team without a trip to England.

They tied Eintracht Frankfurt 2-2.

I agree that the ASG timing is horrible. But I also think one team can't choose to avoid playing, against the rules, while their opponents get worn out during the ASG. Messi and Alba being suspended is correct, and MLS reworking how this is handled should also happen.

The logic I whiteboarded out was solid. My implementation of what happens in some of those paths was not. Fortunately I had decent logging, so it wasn't too difficult to determine where my bug was.

It was one of those times where I was riding the struggle bus trying to wrap my head around a logical flow when only thinking about it. I had everything sorted out about 5 minutes after I found a blank whiteboard, though. It's insane sometimes how much just writing it out helps.

Evander and Robinson both put in 45 minutes in the All Star Game tonight and will be in Saturday’s starting 11. If MLS caves on the rules and doesn’t suspend Messi and Alba since they bailed on the exhibition for more rest, I’m going to be pissed. Rules aren’t rules if you apply them selectively.

I used to vehemently claim that audio books aren’t reading. Then I realized that was silly and any way more people can enjoy more books is a good thing.

I swear I can't go to any property in Office 365 without 8 Copilot buttons jumping out at me. I'm not even saying that it isn't useful sometimes, but I don't need it in my face with literally every UI across the platform. I know how to access it when I want it...

It was amazing when I walked our dog this morning. It was such a nice change from the hot, muggy air I was expecting to step into.

My site is just for fun, but on the flip side I’m glad that the site I made for my SO on WordPress with the Blocksy theme performs similarly. That one actually matters. 😅

Kind of (really) surprised my site does this well on PageSpeed Insights. It’s basically vanilla WordPress with the Twenty Twenty Four theme.

After a long time away, I may need to add PowerShell back to my bio. I’m not sure how I feel about that. I actually liked creating a PowerShell module in C#. Doing a bunch of PowerShell stuff in PowerShell, though, not so much. My biggest problem is that the tooling support is lackluster.

I have no love for the Cubs, but this is absurd. Every ump on the planet except this guy will give the batter a minute. Next time this umpire takes a foul ball off the mask or his arm, he had better get himself back behind the catcher and ready for the next pitch immediately…

I love seeing Suter run over to talk to the umpire as soon as he got out of the inning. Let that guy know what’s up.
