Sources: NWSL's Denver signs Watt as 1st player Forward Ally Watt has been traded from the Orlando Pride to 2026 NWSL expansion team Denver Summit FC, sources have told ESPN.

Denver Summit FC has its first known player, and its no surprise that she has Colorado roots: Multiple sources confirm to @espn.com that the Orlando Pride have traded forward Ally Watt to Denver, and Watt was immediately loaned back for the rest of the 2025 #NWSL season.

Bay and Houston at least provided some drama and action (and some goals) in the late game... and a point for each from the 2-2 draw isn't ideal for either team in the uphill battle to climb the #NWSL table.

Immediately conceding a go-ahead goal is so deflating for Houston. Penelope Hocking had a big influence on this game.

Racheal Kundananji nearly had herself another highlight reel moment against Paige Nielsen (after last year's audacious standing on the ball). The post denied Kundananji a wonder goal. #NWSL

It's a small sample size thus far but a consequence of the #NWSL's return from a 5-week break (which was and will remain the right call in the future, to be clear) appears to be that there's a preseason assimilation 2.0. Hasn't been a banner weekend for games thus far—some *rough* xG numbers.

Burlington, VT is already just a great place to be but it's also now the home of the NCAA D-1 men's champions and the USL League Two champions, less than a year apart (and, as noted, with a heck of a grassroots fan base).

I'd been thinking recently about the potential for a combined Concacaf/CONMEBOL Copa, even if not every edition (as we've seen on the men's side) given the scheduling restrictions and challenges in this new Nations League era but that's a USWNT kind of lens. This Copa America was great on its own.
