The only song I need to get on the year-end is Nice To Each Other by Olivia Dean.

She's doing this for the charts position. "Opalite" is probably going to be top 3 next week. All women in the top 3 is really cool if Olivia Dean and Ella Langley stay there too.

I gotta say, 2024 may be the biggest year for music we've had since 2019, but barely any of my best list songs hold up to 2025's.

I was the biggest A Bar Song fan, yet I'd take any of Bloodline, Emergence, Back to Friends, Revolving Door, Heavens to Betsy, or Nice To Each Other over it.

That's a good pick. If she pushes Nice To Each Other more she might have a dominant year.

I love it. It's weird and experimental yet has all of the elements to make it really catchy and fun. That little lick after "it finally appears" is one of my favorite moments I've heard in a while.

I disagree with what they're doing, obviously. I'm just trying to come up with a reason that makes more sense than "every single person on this list is a racist POS" because a lot of these people *should* know better.

Country music has very often catered to that kind of patriotic stuff. It's not surprising they'd try to appeal to their largest fanbase even if it is a ... rough demographic. I'd wager a lot of these artists, especially the more obscure, see this as an easy way to gain exposure.
