The major media is utterly failing to simply state that Trump is a vicious racist, who blames everything on presumed racial or ethnic minorities. How hard can it be to just say “In shockingly racist remarks Trump refuses to accept responsibility and blames deadly plane crash on minorities”

I don't think the general public (or the press) understands how disruptive a halt in federal grants & loans could be. If it lasts longer than a few weeks it could tip us into a major recession all by itself.

I am begging the national media to start taking this seriously.

Stop buying the claims that the framing of "temporary" or "pause."

They are altering the review processes of federally funded scientific research from merit-based peer review processes to political screening by ideologues.

I think some people hear “grants” and think that without them, scientists and government workers just have less stuff to play with at work. But grants fund salaries for students, academics, researchers, and people who work in all areas of public service.

“Pausing” grants means people don’t eat.

Trying to reduce our food waste by using up things starting to go bad. Italian sausage about to expire, tomatoes that gone soft, and a couple jars of pasta sauce that came in a grocery order that we didn’t actually order. Added some garlic and spices and into the slow cooker for a few hours.

Deleted after 20 minutes but this is the mindset.

Face it, Trump could have said “30 days notice starting now. IGs fired” and it would have been perfectly legal and made 1 month difference in a 48 month term. He didn’t because breaking the law was the point, to demonstrate that the laws don’t apply to him and daring anyone to try to stop him.
