When I used to do this, it was a pain. Most editors did not respond. Some (where I got published) they promised they would publish but it took so much time to find a slot that I gave up because I didn't trust them.

But if you were to look at the 80s just by themselves, they weren't so bad. What was bad was that many careers didn't last so long because of the mediocrity surrounding them. Amit Kumar's was one, perhaps.

Started the day with an Amit Kumar classic and ended with one. All by chance. I think back in the day, the 80s bollywood was characterised by mediocre films and low-effort creativity. All because of comparing with the golden 70s.

There is a little bit of helplessness one feels when one wants the best things for a friend who is far, far away and can't do anything. How can one deal with that sadness then. If only things were simpler.
