What Elon is doing is straight up illegal. He has no authority to go through line by line and shut off funding to organizations he dislikes. He's intentionally trying to destroy civil society.

i think an important thing for people outside the US to understand is that elon musk seized control of the government today and most americans don’t even realize it happened.

I know that we are living through incredibly dark & difficult times. As a Queer, Disabled person, I am incredibly scared. But I believe that we have strength in community, mutual aid, and support. I’m grateful for all the kind, supportive words from everyone so far. Thank you eternally❤️

Did you know that many of us on disability don't even receive the equivalent of a minimum wage income to survive on? If my disability were a full-time job, I'd be getting paid $6.08/hr for 40 hours per week. I'm expected to survive on that, and now the disabled are facing likely cuts...we're fucked.

These executive orders on banning federally funded entities from recognizing trans people or disallowing them from using the bathroom are not self-executing or immediately enforceable. They require formal rule making at a minimum. They are a scare tactic. Ignore and do not comply in advance.
