The filibuster is in the Senate rules for a reason and that's to encourage some consensus on legislation.
If the Republicans end it and use a simple majority to enact legislation, the Democrats will turn around and do the same when they obtain a majority.
It's a stupid way of solving problems!

I live in Louisiana, so by default I'm a New Orleans Saints fan.
I think that finally coaching recognized that Ratler is the best worst quarterback in history and replaced him with a new first round draft pick.
Still wouldn't be surprised if they round up the season with 1 win.

You've got to take your blood pressure with the end of the arm up and the fist lightly clenched.
Had a 25 point difference in measurement this morning.
The standard instrument for measuring it is subject to all sorts of factors.
You can't measure it after you've had coffee!

Too much JD and you never know what you'll do!

JD Vance is definitely a class A hypocrite. That's essentially why people don't like him.
That's not Trump's problem; He's just cruel, eccentric, biased and stupid.

Trust me, the last thing you want is a bad case of deja vu!
Found myself repeating one of the worst things I'd done ten years before.
Started with a bad visit to the casino.
Spent some time in jail, then the behavioral place and the judge was compassionate and let me off with probation after.

Bought an induction plate about 3 weeks ago.
-To those who've never heard about it it's an efficient electrical plate which directly heats a steel pan(any steel pan).
Heats the food through the pan up quickly and boils water in something like 6-7 minutes.
HaHa!

Shrimp are a decent buy at the grocery.
They're about the only seafood that grows better with global warming- they eat algae.
All protein, no fat.
If you need to stretch it you can mince them with pasta and alfredo sauce.
I buy the gulf shrimp; No contamination, and that's where I reside.

Lawsuits!
In Louisiana we have twice the number of lawsuits as average and you can't watch local TV without being barraged by ads from law firms.

It's not terrifying. Even Congress is resisting by being stagnant.

Extravagance is normally an issue, but it's the least of the problems people have with Kash Patel.
He's better off flying around than doing his job like Trump wants.

My diet tends to go through phases. About the latest thing is cheese and I finally discovered cheese in the frozen section of the grocery.
Mozzarella cheese sticks and cream cheese jalapeno poppers are currently on my list.

To all those rural Americans who don't trust the Federal Government, it's only federal funding which has kept rural life affordable.
Everything from internet, water, electric utility and farm subsidies have not only made it easier to get by in rural America, but made life much better.

If the general population voted in equal percentage as political zealots, we would have never had Trump to deal with.
I say this despite having voted for him in 2016.
Soon learned my lesson on what a liar he was when he tripled the estimate of his inauguration crowd.
I didn't go back.

This may sound obvious but you shouldn't need a watch to tell you how hard your crap is going!

I don't take the ads seriously because they're not compelling to anyone born after WWII.
The pictures and slogans reflect an ideation of America which hasn't been representative since the 1950's.

Maybe "the public" isn't such a dead concept.
Everybody thought it went away with media fragmentation.

It's not only an obscene inequality to deprive people of food, America produces more food than any nation on Earth by far.
It's like starving in a pig farm next to a grain silo.

That's a good quote because so many people get caught up with gripes and worries about even small things.

Although America is in a true sense the Land of the Free, the "Free Market" exerts a great deal of pressure on people.
Most operations out there can't or won't spend enough to pay employees a living wage.
Government and Laws are supposed to compensate for that.

You certainly get in touch with more real people on blue sky than on twitter.
I think most of my followers had profile pictures of porn stars.

I ordered a new Breville toaster oven.
Had one for eight years and to tell the truth I loved the thing.
Only reason I got rid of it was some of the pushbutton controls barely worked because they got clogged up with grease.
Cooks well and it's big enough to cook grocery store pizzas in!

If Amazon's cutting 13,000 jobs, you know things are bad.
After all, they're the first place people turn to save money.
If people have no money, even discount operations suffer.

If dementia is the lack of the ability to make straight sense of anything, he has it..
Usually they just called it a crazy old coot.

It takes a soybean farmer at least a few square miles to make even one million dollars, so Bessent is more of a Landlord than a farmer.

Everybody's worried about Trumps third term.
All I know is that even if the Supreme Court passes on it, he can't honestly get elected for another term as President.
There would be even more destruction and chaos than there is now if the Republicans still control Congress.

Even if you've never given to a food bank or food kitchen, if you can afford it now's the time to do it. Even a moderate amount could go further than you might think.
I gave to two of them yesterday-Not like it makes me a Saint but it allayed my conscience a bit.

It's also stupid to deprive people of food because desperate people commit more crime.
-Policy isn't a pro wrestling match.

I slept through the last two games but the whole Canada versus L.A. thing has me riled up.
It's always monumental but with the Country in disarray it seems special.
