Downside of switching contract gigs regularly, especially when switching consulting companies: you have to take security and sexual harassment training over and over again — at the consulting company and at the client. And they are never not boring.

First day at a new gig. It’s remote except one day a week when I commute 2.5 hours in the car, each way. Today was that day. Exhausting.

Love those moments. I was literally just looking out the window from the sofa, watching the rain while eating a late lunch, thinking how cozy this feels.

That sounds perfect. I really like the views in the hills with mist and fog.

I like hiking in drizzle, too especially when it’s slightly chilled.

Over the last 3 days, I have been sitting in my home office working feverishly on my new biz — so much sitting that my ass actually hurts. It's all fun and games until your ass hurts, fellas. 😬😆

That's a wrap. My work contract ended today. I'm taking a little time off and I am very lucky to be starting another gig soon. I feel thankful for the last gig, relieved to have another (the job market stinks!), and excited to be building my own biz as a longterm career goal. Let's go!

I’ve turned into an emotional mush of a man. I finally finished Andor seasons 2 yesterday and cried — from a Star Wars show! That’s just a sample of shows, movies and books that get to me. I guess it’s a part of getting older and experiencing losses. Such a sap. Maybe it’s a green flag. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’ve started to look at who my friends and connections follow on various platforms. I’m surprised to find some follow Candace Owens, Ben Shapiro and others that spew hate. What are the chances that they are curious vs. supporters? 😒

Too bad many don’t recognize it. I’ve seen folks act like no one knows how this feels and we need to be respectful of this gigantic loss.
