This is a photo of the black Ash mine entrance from 2013 there is snow on the ground and it is flooded, but almost no disturbance to the main entrance otherwise

I found a photo on the internet from 2013 of the same mine entrance. Yikes. The difference in 12 years is stunning really. Pine trees now moving in, many of the ash trees dead and fallen from the invasive beetles and pests. Nature is reclaiming the mine, it’s no wonder it was harder for me to find.
