Once again, one of the primary reasons we have arrived at this point (completely out-of-control & unconstitutional abuse of executive power to conduct wildly illegal foreign policy) is that no one, including the most senior people involved, went to jail for the rest of their lives for Iran-Contra.

By that I mean MAGA has no legs beyond Trump having a pulse, he's the only thing holding the entire thing together & beyond the White House they're about to lose everything. They fucked everyone so completely that there is no way forward without serious change.

Imagine a single Republican having that kind of awareness in this day and age. It's just not going to happen because they're all cowards & it means looking themselves in the mirror and making it clear that they did this. They fucked everything. For what? Not much beyond Trump having a pulse.

Not after Trump leaves office, not after the midterms, now or by the midterms. We're about to have a political earthquake. The likes of which we haven't seen since the great depression. IMO, this is why GWB which had historically delegated most of his Presidency took charge firmly in the 2008 crisis

The main reason I'm confident about the US getting it's shit together is because the main reason you keep the status quo in place or build a new stable status quo in it's place (was never going to happen with Trump wanting sycophants which are incompetent) is because everyone is going to be angry.
