Follow up to my post from last week: I now saw the new Naked Gun movie and I loved it! Not only was it better than I expected, it felt like it fit seamlessly with the original trilogy.

I'll get it on blue-ray and add it whenever I re-watch them. Good spoofs are back!

We'll all help rebuild this place and others but lives lost and affected can never be fixed. We need to give Ukraine more tools to defend itself.

Darksiders 4 really snuck up on me! Haven't played 3 yet actually, but I really liked 1 and 2. I guess the more souls-like gameplay of 3 never appealed to me, so I personally hope it takes more from the first two games.

The Naked Gun movies are honestly one of my favourite movie trilogies ever and I re-watch them every few years. When I first heard of a reboot/sequel by McFarlane I was worried, but the trailer and Akiva Schaffer's involvement have me cautiously optimistic. 👀

They will not win, but they will kill a lot of people until then. Deaths that could be prevented by more actions and less words.

So EA is changing their EULAs. Aside the fact that this is unilateral change of contract, EULAs are not legally binding anyway. (Aka, you can't just circumvent laws just because you say so in the EULA)

I doubt it, as the change would for the most part have an effect on live service games, which are rarely done by indie devs. They are high cost, high profit.

Server based games by indie devs can just allow private server hosting.

Exactly. That digital goods are treated the same before they are sold, but completely differently after they are sold is an abused loophole. Good news is, that this might change now. 💪

If the only inherit fix to a situation is committing a crime, then the situation really needs to change.

Petition: Prohibit publishers irrevocably disabling video games they have already sold The government should update consumer law to prohibit publishers from disabling video games (and related game assets / features) they have already sold without recourse for customers to retain or repair them. We seek this as a statutory consumer right.
