I just hate 00-10’s shoujo sometimes because of how mangakas used to portray women as shy and pretty cooking and cleaning machines

shoujo has degraded a lot in 2000-2010 in my opinion to the point where we had only cheesy school romances instead of adventures, tragedies, fantasies and other

but I have high hopes for the new generation of mangakas

why overpay for armani and prada when you can find all of the brands 99.999% off

we found an armani trench today at the thrift store it was so cheap we had to buy it
now we can disguise as reach people with my partner wearing it along with some prada pants from the same store

and when I was a child watching this stuff I didn’t see those grown ass men as I saw real grown men and now only because I have experience it creeps me out
the worst case is that girl from Cardcaptor Sakura that fell in love with a teacher (SHE WAS TEN)

I grew up with a lot of shoujo titles where grown ass men tried to hit on literal children
glad that’s not popular anymore but this trend bloomed because shoujo mangakas were trying to show all kinds of love and they didn’t know back then that this kind of love is not healthy at all

I personally don’t care if Amu ends up with anyone because her personal growth is more interesting to me but I understand that’s a shoujo so romance is needed
(I just don’t want her to end up with a new guy because he seems fishy to me)

I allow this "ship" to exist only if Amu is 20yo (legal adulthood in Japan)
because their age difference is not creepy if they are both legal adults

so I guess the ship would work with a time skip in the end if peach pit decide to make them an end game

I’m truly glad that peach pit are following nowadays morals because back then it was trendy to make heroine’s love interest much older or make SA okay but it seems that now it changed and even a touch without consent is not okay and that’s cool

in a new manga amu hasn’t met ikuto again though…

I was wearing a mask all the time washed and sanitized my hands all the time got the vaccine and still got covid
at least I got it without symptoms and my asthma didn’t cause any problems
