Right on - is there a model currently out there (or trying to get off the ground) that you find aspirational? I’m a fan of @flaminghydra.com for instance - but I’m not sure if they’d even self identify as a “newsroom”.

100% - “directly” was the wrong choice of words. Worker co-ops, union supported, democratically managed etc is more what I had in mind… as opposed to the exploitative Substack model or newsrooms subject to the whims of egomaniacs with agendas.

I’ll say it again: all these disenfranchised high level troops and agents thatve been pushed out of the regime *should* be getting organized together by someone in the opposition - at best, to reinstall into leadership roles when it’s over and at worst to help us fight it “conventionally”.

Any response other than an immediate "fuck you, make me" is an indication your institution is already ok with fascism, and is now just haggling over the price.
