In #Ardamata, West-Darfur, hat vorherige Woche das vermutlich größte Massaker des Kriegs in #Sudan seit dessen Beginn im April 2023 stattgefunden. Die RSF haben gezielt Männer der Masalit getötet, es gab 800-1300 Tote. Deutsche Medien haben bisher fast nicht darüber berichtet.

He argues very convincingly, how the hyperlocal level intersects with other tracks and how the "small acts of peace (of ordinary people)" have the capacity to disrupt violent conflict, to scale up and scale out. A lot of food for thought for all of us working on making peace more sustainable.

📚 Over the last days, I finally had the time to read "Everyday Peace" by Roger Mac Ginty. I cannot recommend it highly enough to everyone interested in conflict transformation - and to those of you, who still wonder why I keep going on about the importance of local actors for sustainable peace.
