Study finds mRNA coronavirus vaccines prolonged life of cancer patients A study found that covid-19 vaccines appeared to awaken the immune system in lung and skin cancer patients, helping them live longer than those not vaccinated.

β€œCovid-19 vaccines, credited with saving millions of lives during the pandemic, set off a powerful alarm that rallies the human immune system against cancer and nearly doubles the median survival length of patients, according to a new retrospective study.”

From David Sirota on Twitter: Every now and then I go back and read the Citizens United ruling to see if it is as unhinged as I thought, and every time I do that I see it is actually far more deranged than I remembered.

Citizens United v. FEC, 558 U.S. 310 (2010)
This Court now concludes that independent expenditures, including those made by corporations, do not give rise to corruption or the appearance of corruption. That speakers may have influence over or access to elected officials does not mean that those officials are corrupt. And the appearance of influence or access will not cause the electorate to lose faith in this democracy.

Not for nothing, but I'd like to know how many of the people out here so hyperfixated on this had either even seen that particular symbol at all, and also, knew what it was.

Would guess very few for the 1st and even less for the 2nd point, with most of that being paid oppo researchers

Bernie about Platner,

And for what? To stop an outsider candidate named Graham Platner. This is the kind of bankrupt, status-quo thinking that fails the American people every single day.

Let’s be crystal clear. The DSCC is not some faceless entity.
It is led by Kirsten Gillibrand, Mark Kelly, Adam Schiff, and Lisa Rochester.

And what are they doing? They are asking you to open your wallets for (what would be) the oldest freshman senator in American history.

It’s cheaper to let someone die than to save them with a procedure they cannot afford.

Remember: Undocumented immigrants pay billions of dollars in taxes every year.

They pay into government funded healthcare programs, but can't access them except in case of emergency.

Emergency Medicaid spending accounted for less than 1% of total Medicaid spending in 2023.

Billionaires will always side with fascists, because fascism inherently benefits billionaires.

This mentality reveals everything that’s wrong with the current D leadership.

When I need to people to understand is the rich are already socialists. They love handouts, bailouts, and welfare from the government/taxpayers.

Socialism for the rich, rugged individualism for the poor.

There were signs…
This is not to say that β€œBernie would’ve won” and more so that there were BIG RED FLAGS that Latinos (particularly the RGV) were among the first and quickest groups to begin drifting from the most recent iteration of the Democratic establishment.

I also wish we could differentiate the dataβ€”something tells me if you’re first or second generation, you’re more likely to vote Dem, while if you’ve been here, you’re more likely not to. I would bet money on it!

Obviously not a hard rule, but it is very complex and somewhat puzzling

Many of my own people, a not insignificant portion, are actively cheering it on. Economy is how we win imo.

American individualism has seeped into our politics so much so that we as voters, as the general electorate, are inherently selfish. I hope I’m wrong, but the way it’s going…it’s not enough

I think chalking it up to misogyny is an easy target. Clinton did very well with Latinos! This drop off in support from Latinos imo is because Republicans started talking economy moreβ€”dems just assumed we’d (as a monolith) stick with them. We’re a racial minority but don’t see ourselves as one.
