This is a good thread. There is a huge difference between "the court system is still able to provide some positive outcomes in some cases" and "the court system is capable of providing due process and the system is fair."

Neither startling nor novelty seem like they're quite accurate renditions of spoiler culture to me? I always took it as wanting to engage with the media in one's chosen fashion, rather than through the lens of the interlocutor.
