I listen to maybe half a dozen podcasts run by excellent people that provide detailed coverage of the far-right. Their summaries of their neo-Nazi beliefs, interpersonal beefs, scandals of drug-induced psychosis, and detailed history of niche far-right terrorist groups is important. This ain’t it.

melville loves to riff. the soliloquy chapters make no sense in the frame of the story.

this is an extension of thinking about how much this book exist within whaleworld but also like. analogies are analogies for a reason. for now we see through a mirror, whalely.
