Show me a society that doesn't understand and appreciate that one of the fundamental roles of government is to protect its most vulnerable, and I'll show you one that elects a malignant narcissist to the highest office in the land.

Why is there a "2" next to the Blue Jays?
(Should be 3: 1992, 1993, and, umm... THIS YEAR! π)
Hey #Math teachers,
Start telling (or reminding) your students that:
Subtraction ππ¨ addition (...by the additive inverse); and
Division ππ¨ multiplication (...by the multiplicative inverse)
In other words, subtraction & division are πΏππππππΏ as:
a - b β a + (-b)
a Γ· b β a Γ bβ»ΒΉ

Schumer follows Pelosi's lead and announces he's also stepping down.
He "forgot to move the amendment" (??)
Good lord, this is the guy who thinks he can become PM? He's useless.
More good news from the US.
Hopefully, Chuck Schumer follows suit...

That's the sort of nation-building that Carney's budget should have contained -- but didn't.
Canada's nation-building projects should not also be nation-burning corporateknights.com?p=48315

Exactly. Politicians shouldn't be allowed to set the rules by which politicians are elected. This is the job of an independent, non-partisan body in the form of a Citizens' Assembly.
If Democrats think that the *long-term answer* to dealing with Trump's disastrous presidency is to simply vote him and other Republicans out, they are mistaken.
The *structural weaknesses* that have been exposed by Trump need to be addressed.
Will they actually do this? Almost certainly not.
So glad there are competent adults like May running the show.

I should call asking if I can vote in the New York City election.
Ya know, since I live in Toronto, Canada.
This is the president of the United States taking a break from gold-and-marble interior renovations to say heβll defy a court order to feed hungry Americans.
Nero would be proud.

Agreed. There is an entire army of people surrounding him who are only too happy to stroke his flimsy ego and manipulate him. His presidency will require a lifetime of work to undo the damage it has done on the world stage to America's (former) partnerships. Starting with the one with Canada.

That stupid ball that got stuck at the outfield wall was the difference in what was essentially a coin flip of a series.
It's unclear to me why anyone would sit and read the transcript when everyone [who isn't a member of his cult] already knows the guy is a professional liar and a con-man. Nothing coming out of his month can be trusted.
