Personally I think is the progenitor of the genre given how it sets up the tentpole desogn elements of the action deck builder pretty much to a T

Survivor like action deck builder that uses superhots enemy's move when you do mechanic

Really depends on the context and size of the numbers. I usually default to health bars (slider?) but generally the health pools I encounter are somewhere in the hundreds or thousands so its a bit easier to visualize.
