Yet again the farce that is trail-hunting has been laid bare on national TV. And yet again hunting’s governing body is proving itself unwilling or incapable of doing anything about it.

It's time for a proper ban. 08/09

What's more - The landowner who is directly involved in digging-out the fox in our footage is none other than the son-in-law of the BHSA's Executive Director Julian Barnfield, himself a multiply-convicted ex-huntsman. 07/09

Trail-hunting is 𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘯𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 act as a cover so that hunts can continue terrorising our wildlife just like they did before the ban. And among the list in just this recent exposé are some of the most well-known hunts in the country. 06/09

These are not 'bad apples', as the British Hound Sports Association like to pretend. This is what foxhunting, aka trail-hunting, has looked like since the ban. 05/09

These hunts were all filmed recently by hunt sabs and monitors, blatantly digging-out and chasing foxes, as well as throwing dug-out foxes to hounds to be killed and feeding foxes to ensure a ready supply for the hunt. 04/09

The Coniston, Beaufort, Heythrop, Middleton, and Mendip Farmers Hunts were also featured in the programme. 03/09

This incident is being investigated by the police, along with footage of a fox chased by the same hunt just last week and several other incidents captured by sabs over the course of the last 18 months. 02/09

Two months of the 25/26 season remain, yet there's plenty of days left for hunts like the Eggesford to be out terrorising wildlife, if you know where a hunt is going to meet, send it through to us. 17/18

Despite Jason's efforts throughout the day to put hounds back on the line when they checked, we believe all the foxes we saw were able to get away. 16/18

Considerable effort was exerted by a sab from @mendiphuntsabs.bsky.social, who joined us for the day, repeatedly rating hounds off the line of a pair who were being chased up and down the same valley and looked completely exhausted by the end of it. 15/18

It's not uncommon at this time of year to find two foxes close together, as it's their breeding season. On two separate occasions over the course of the day, sabs had to rate hounds off the line of a pair of foxes running from the same area. 14/18

En route back to the meet, yet another landowner challenged him about why hounds had been on her land. “The hounds may have been, but we weren’t” - another classic excuse from this arrogant, entitled huntsman. 13/18

A while later, hounds picked up again at Langabeare Moor and went racing east towards the busy main road. Jason then spent an age gathering them back up. 12/18

Two of our sabs were perfectly positioned to get in front of the full pack and stop them in their tracks, turning hounds back onto the heel line of the fox - effectively following the scent back in the wrong direction. 11/18

from where hounds followed a line for a significant distance, initially all the way south to Millbrook and then back north via Lower Northwood towards Langabeare Moor. 10/18

After taking hounds further north along the Hookmoor Brook valley, Jason started retracing his steps to the east via fields south of Norleigh Barton, 09/18

The presence of foot sabs on the ground and the drone overhead averted a digout and the two remained idle for the rest of the day. 08/18

Terrierboys Jake Crabb and Tom Bounsall, who are never more than a stone’s throw from one another, jumped off their quad, masked up and then stood on the sett watching the hounds as they marked several sett entrances. 07/18

The second half of the day was in the long wooded valley between Lower Westacott and Forestry England-owned Ashbury Plantations. Hounds marked a fox to ground at a badger sett within minutes. 06/18

However, he did eventually bring the hounds back to him and the hunt headed off to the north, along the road through Inwardleigh and then into the fields around Norleigh Mill Farm and Waterhouse, where they spent a few minutes hunting before sabs caught up with them. 05/18

Our drone filmed hounds running riot all over Curworthy farm and several went off on the line of various deer in the surrounding valleys. The old "I'm having trouble controlling the hounds" excuse was rolled out when Jason was confronted by a frustrated landowner. 04/18

Hounds ended up scattered all over the place between Inwardleigh and Curworthy Farm.

Despite knowing that hounds weren't allowed on a lot of this land, Jason allowed them to carry on terrorising wildlife while him and Lloyd sat idle in the field, refusing to intervene. 03/18

They set off from the meet at Inwardleigh to the south-west, initially following a scent that ended in a large pile of tyres at Glebe Farm, before looping via fields east of The Old Rectory back into the original valley south-west of Inwardleigh. 02/18

Jason put hounds back in at Wapsworthy for the final draw along Youldon Brook. Hounds ran off in cry again but with the dark and fog closing in, they were eventually gathered back up and taken back towards Smeardon Down via Cudliptown Down. 20/21

While some sabs monitored the front of the pack from Bagga Tor, foot teams from both groups were spread across the area to stop hounds where possible. Eventually, hounds lost the scent around Standon Farm. 19/21
