Released two of the three ladybirds that were hibernating in my flat all winter.

Since when did “well everyone else managed” become a standard response?

Twice in the last month I’ve heard this when places have failed to accommodate or acknowledge that someone has different needs.

So yeah everyone else managed bc they weren’t excluded from the design of so many services.

Who decided 6am was peak travel time?! I literally cannot take an earlier train and any off-peak doesn’t get me to work on time.

Greyhound racing ban promised in Wales Labour ministers say the sport - which has one track in Wales - will be banned as soon as possible.

Amazing news.. the Welsh Government has announced it will ban greyhound racing! 🎉 My Bill to achieve the same in Scotland will be introduced at Holyrood in April - no excuses Scottish Government!

Second sparrowhawk sighting in 6 months right from my own living room. From what I can tell, this one is female and the last one was male.

Once I’ve poured my tea at a cafe, I spoon all the little bubbles off the top of the drink. Have absolutely no idea why I do it and it serves no purpose but I find myself doing it every time.

Dec-March has to be the best time to shop for women’s clothing. Everything is either sparkly, soft, or covered in hearts and I’m 100% here for it.

I walked 7km out to the science centre yesterday (in the rain) just to find out it was closed and that their online info is wrong. I’ve never even liked science but that just takes the piss.

So my laptop is no longer able to play sound - and that’s all thanks to it being the cat’s preferred surface to sit on at any given time.

Maybe ScotRail could fit blinds on their trains so I don’t have to sit for an hour in flickering sun light that basically feels like strobe lighting.

Looking back on 2024, one of the most surreal things I saw was two wood peckers chasing each other back and forth. I feel like it’s so rare to see one let alone two, and in a fairly built up area of Glasgow as well.

I asked once whether beets are more or less purple than turmeric is yellow.

Chemist friend was around and 15 minutes of calculation later we determined turmeric is more than 100x as yellow as beets are purple.

That’s a nasty looking black hole in the top right.

Based on what I’ve done today, 2025 will simply be another year of this…
