That was one reason why they were spraying water as they took it down to keep clouds of dust and asbestos from getting into the air.

MLB’s Manfred defends sports gambling partnerships for the β€˜crucial’ data they offer In an environment where sports betting exists, Manfred said, MLB needs to partner with legal companies for the data they provide.

It is pretty sad that the CEO of a major sports thinks it is good the sport to get "data" from gamblers. Why not just get data from the people who actually care about the game and not those who see it as a way to make (or lose more )often money.

Growing up we called it touch football. Most of the times it was a touch but sometimes a bit closer to tackle without pads

Did that company engineers never live in a hurricane or power outage to think may, just maybe we should have a manual way to control it.

Current software engineers may have AI but no common sense. Not to let the CEO off the hook what was he/she thinking?

Smart Beds Helped Them Sleep on a Cloud. Then the Cloud Crashed.

Has the software industry become dumb? Case in point: bed mattress that can change heating/cooling only works if your WiFi/Internet connection is working. www.nytimes.com/2025/10/24/b...

That my friends is a stupid statement. Yes, shutdown is worse but Trump's lawlessness is not good either. Probably bc lots of Rs in her state, and with Fox TV equating Obama's basketball stanchion equal to the demo of the East Wing

Think about the opportunity that the Russians or the Chinese or the North Koreans, etc. Would have stuff put in the walls basements. Who knows where else in his gold gold ballroom

Roberts has allowed Trump to steal anything with the act that the president can't be held responsible or accountable. Maybe Roberts is getting a piece of the action

Yes it will when we have to rebuild the East Wing back to something similar to what it once was and take down the monstrosity of a ballroom

Meta Cuts 600 Jobs at A.I. Superintelligence Labs The layoffs do not affect Meta’s newest A.I. hires, who are in some cases being paid up to hundreds of millions of dollars. The cuts were focused on correcting an earlier hiring spree.

Maybe these 600 who just got fired should have used their AI tools to tell them they were about to be fired.

Has my house representative done anything this past few weeks. Nope no house sessions, no business conducted.

Side note: Nancy Mace is my rep, so of course no work is being done.

Can anyone sue Congress for no action and not being in session? Somehow pressure need to be put on the Rs.

As Shutdown Drags and Trump Flexes, Congress Cedes Its Relevance

I agree with this article. We are soon to have only two functional parts of the government, a Supreme Court and the President's Administration. Can we survive that way? Nope.

For New Yorkers.. Would you change your vote if a current mayor who could not win a re-election helps Cuomo with an endorsement? A mayor thug trying to help a Cuomo to get over his less than stellar personal record.

My friend had a Alfa Romeo and he needed riding shotgun, a Alpha mechanic. Great days. BTW although now disappearing, did you ever think why there were all the signs for "Radiator Shop" or Muffler Shop" .

Plus even in the 1967 Mustang fastback I owned, It was in the shop every other week for something. Radiator leaking, points not working, Water pumping everywhere, brakes gone after very few miles, Exhaust replaced every so often.

IT is not the trains problem, it is the folks that think they can always "beat" the train crossing or just walking the tracks.
