New paper: "𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆". We measure the facial and vocal expressions of the ECB presidents at a high frequency.

I show that the effects of sanctions are negligible for sanctioning countries but can be substantial for Russia. But this crucially depends on which type of sanction is applied and who applies the sanction.

In this article I empirically measure the effects of #sanctions applied to #Russia and economic #support given to the #Ukraine on #stock prices and #exchange rates in 1) the sanctioning/supporting countries, 2) Russia and 3) the Ukraine.
