Crowd at a No King’s protest
Crowd at a No King’s protest
The fact we have to have protests about Trump and the fascist overtaking of the GOP is something I don’t think enough elected politicians understand. Especially Democratic leadership.
Hopefully they see that tens of millions of Americans are fed up.

A line of people next to a two-highway road with a crowd beyond them. You can kinda see a couple buildings in the distance -- that's the whole town
I would also like to report that I just heard from my mother, who has voted Republican for most of her life. Can't stand Trump
Went to her first protest today. 150-200 people in our tiny rural two-stop-sign town

"no kings protest are violent" and it's actually someone wearing a rubber chicken costume leading a dance party outside the US capitol building

Interior of a plush private jets
The administration simultaneously says it needs to lay off employees because it is out of money and also that Kristi Noem needs two private jets because it is not safe for her to travel through the airports where her propaganda is running 24/7

Also Republicans: the No Kings Protest is terrorism

This is a blatant attempt to silence and isolate us. He’s stopping the trains, closing the freeways and firing live rounds into California. We will not be intimidated. We will not be silenced. #NoKings

Take note of all these people turning out for protests in small towns in red states.
Remember them the next time you’re inclined to write an area off because “they voted for this.”

One thing that's becoming clear is that "working homelessness"—and acute housing insecurity more broadly—now radiates far beyond big cities.
It reaches nearly every corner of the country, exposing the same truth: wages are brutally outpaced by the cost of shelter.

If you’re planning to protest tomorrow:
1. Thank you! Make it big. Stay peaceful.
2. Be careful. There will be people trying to agitate and stir shit up.
3. Take a buddy if you can. If not, video is your friend.
4. Have a plan to get the fuck out if it goes sideways.

Me on Trump pardoning disgraced former congressman George Santos:
"It's completely nuts, but he's completely nuts — and so is Santos, maybe that's the thing that joins them all together... Trump finds a fraudster appealing."

I’ve been lucky enough to help my country & neighbors since I was 17 years old. I’m 54 now.
I don’t like pledges of allegiance all that much.
But I love my country.
I don’t like flags all that much.
But I love my neighbors.
So tomorrow we will be at No Kings. For my country and for my neighbors

I share your knowledge with everyone I know who even might be attending or in the vicinity of such happenings. More importantly I have shared it with my young teen grandkids in hopes that it seems into their brains well before they attend their first protest. And I appreciate you for it.
