It’s fascinating how sections of society still think of video gaming as, on some level, a niche pursuit. Rather than just about the biggest entertainment medium on the planet.

What really surprises me here is how specifically the collapse in Christianity is among Anglicans/Protestants. But maybe goes back to the Dara Ó Briain thing of Catholicism as “the stickiest, most adhesive religion”.

It is both teeth-grindingly annoying and genuinely interesting that some people have really convinced themselves that *not* knowing something is a sign of wisdom and sophistication.

These people are poison. They will unleash racist thugs on the streets of this country and call it security. They will subjugate us to the US and call it patriotism. They must be stopped. There is no more important task in politics.

One of the things I find frustrating about sci-fi is that because of the American influence of it, all of the planets are called things like Zexion 5 and Danshassia 7. I’d call them things like ‘Nether Roundthorpe’ and ‘Spheresbury’. Gravity Bywell. Chalfont St Globeby. Bishop’s Goitre.
