There are 2 violinist students next door, they are pretty diligent in their practice, our walls are not thick and I work from home. Sometimes they are both practicing at once. I feel like the protagonist of a scribbly greyscale indie horror where some monster is hunting me through a boarding school.

Check out the ones made by GoDraw on that front too, these are knockoffs of those and the originals look to have a higher build quality and the wells already have resin (I think) inlays on them, they look really nice.

A tiny 8 well palette with 8 5ml tubes of winsor and newton paint around it like sun rays. Clockwise they are winsor lemon, winsor blue green hue, permanent rose, winsor violet, burnt sienna, winsor red, winsor blue red hue and Indian yellow deep.

Thanks! This was a replacement they sent me for one that warped and so I sealed the wells on this one with nail polish and treated myself to some tiny tubes of better quality paint than the ones that came with it. Never used professional quality watercolour before and I’m loving how well it layers!

Got a tiny palette recently and treated myself to some nice paints to put in it to give myself a low stakes place to do some art for myself. Test doodle to break in the book from last night and remind myself I don’t have to do complicated serious things here, and my bento from my lunch break today

Cute enough I forgot I was meant to put an egg in here too XD

Last night had a lot of chopping (my knife skills are ok but still mid enough that match sticking things still takes a while) but now I have a bunch more dishes for the fridge and freezer. I know I don’t HAVE to make OJ carrots into flowers but they are so cute when I do so can’t help myself.

A lot of my friends and loved ones are in Morris sides and they are all good folks. I find display routine dancing a bit too stressful but the call is getting stronger. That said, I’d freaking LOVE to build a Morris Beast some time…

Sometimes we’re unsatisfied with a thing we made because when it only existed in our head, we saw all the things it could have been and when it’s done we know all the things that it isn’t, but we can’t see the way it expands into a million new things when someone else unpacks it in their head. 🖊️🦑

Thanks! Alex’s mum told me they didn’t like wearing shoes and they always wore odd socks, so it felt like a good way to work in the colours of some of the flags they identify with :)

Realised I didn’t get around to sharing this. 18th birthday commission for a friend’s child, it was lovely to get to try and capture so many little elements of their past and personality.
