Those generals, many trained at our finest military academies, take their oath to the Constitution very seriously. We'll see how that plays out. I suspect many will push back at illegal orders. They're in a tough position, as are we all.

That seems like a correct set of conclusions. Writing is about the process, and all you learn along the way. Anecdotally, I've noticed that I get a sort of flat feeling, the opposite of accomplishment, when using AI to write for me. It's dulled my enthusiasm for it.
