04.06.2025 00:59 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0How is it that there's no good tool to migrate a setuptools project to pyproject.toml, while still keeping setuptools as the build backend? Meanwhile, hatch and pdm both have workflows for converting (and thus switching off setuptools). #python
23.05.2025 20:13 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Did any of your projects use pylint? I'd love something that runs faster than pylint but they are still missing some compatibility there. Though it's been a while since I've gone though all the rules github.com/astral-sh/ru...

15.05.2025 00:30 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0What?! I don't understand how layoffs like these make sense when the total number of employees each year goes up. What could be the justification?
15.05.2025 00:29 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0@brianokken.bsky.social Just listened to your test & code episode on pytest-check. From the episode it seems like it's in the same space as unittest's subtest. There's a pytest-subtests plug-in as well. It would be interesting to hear how these compare. Perhaps in a separate episode?
