I've gone through so many life transitions, losses, and health realizations in the past few years and just in the last few months moved and completely changed my lifestyle from boarding my horses to taking on the care myself.

I've burnt out at least 3 times before and its was hell each time. I actually like my life and trajectory now. the idea of fully burning out and the years long recovery is devastating. I'm hoping I can take some intentional and radical rest

Any friends have tips on making the most of rest? I can try to dedicate my days to rest, aside from barn chores and billions of appointments and some errands. I'm really lucky that my mom is able and willing to take on a lot for me when I need to ask for help

I'm going to have to start forcing rest on myself, even as my brain desires to do something and seek novel experiences. I cannot afford to be hit by the physical reality of full on burnout. I hate the polarity of being AuDHD at times.

I have had two therapists in the past week (as I transition care to a new practitioner) express concern about whether I'm in the early stages of autistic burn out. I definitely did not consider that but its a real possibility

One of my newest pet peeves is seeing able bodied "all you need is grit and hard work to build fitness" riders shitting on equipment that allows disabled equestrians to ride safely and kindly.

Remi and Hekate on opposite sides of a fence line, walking the same direction. Remi is a little grey arabian, while Hekate is a gangly dun horse.

You probably can't see the height difference, but Hekate is 2 and all limbs so I'm curious to see how she fills out
