It's a handy way to remember the difference between lava (molten rock above ground) and magma (underground). I've put a watermark on it "Β© @NadWGab, 2017" because it's been stolen more times than I can count.

And, interestingly, this means that tilting due to dynamic stresses from the mantle may influence the flow patterns.
