The future of flight? First electric aeroplane lands in Denmark The plane can be charged using a standard fast charger for electric cars in just 20 to 40 minutes, the company says. Experts say airports will need to gradually expand charging infrastructures for electric aircraft.

Denmark just flew 5 people over 300 km in an all-electric plane—in under an hour. ⚡✈️ It recharged in 30 mins and emitted zero CO₂. It’s not just a test—it’s step one in Denmark’s bold plan: 100% fossil-free domestic flights by 2030. The skies are changing. #ElectricFlight #Denmark #EVaviation #EVTOL

It eventually flew too far for me to keep tracking it, but it was still pretty close to the ground because it didn't have the skills to fly upwards. I hoped for the best, that's all

These white eared bulbul parents are stressed out with the baby fallen out of the nest! They've been like this for more than half an hour. I can't locate their nest and the baby can only fly so high up the grills before he slips back down

I'd definitely like a link or author names. While I don't love them anywhere near as much as bees, they're such an important part of the ecosystem and they get far too much hate

A dark bird with a chicken-like beak, tiny head, long flight feathers, a ruffed black and white neck and keen yellow-orange eye. A strange stalk sticks up from just above the beak, reaching 1-2 inches long. It stands on a generic clump of what I assume is floating vegetation, most of which is out of focus.

This thread goes out to the 'Birds Aren't Real' crowd. The "horned screamer" (Anhima cornuta) appears to be an early prototype with a visible antenna.

They're called "screamers" because they 'scream' at anything new or troubling & I find that so relatable.

Ecosia is pretty amazing, they do legit stuff, and I actually uncover a lot of decent websites that don't even show up on Google's first and second pages. It's not always the best, but I'd say I'm happy with it 90% of the time

For some species of cichlids, home is where the mom is - literally! Female mouth-brooding cichlids incubate their eggs in their mouths. Some species continue to provide protection for juveniles after they hatch, sending out cues when danger is around for them to return to her mouth #SundayFishSketch

I will forever be haunted by this footage.

Trawling has only been filmed underwater a few times in documentary history, and never with such clarity.

What’s so heart-rending about these shots is watching how the animals don’t just get swept up — they swim for their lives.
