Reading Tsubasa completely rewired my brain. I had never seen Love depicted like that before and it made me examine all of my relationships and motivations. I cried for weeks while I recalibrated.

This was me at the ripe age of…. 20 I think. More than ten years ago now. I had no idea what I was about to experience.

The tragedy of longevity and fading is so fascinating. I’m still in shock that one of the most heartbreaking parts of the silm is when maglor *survives.* I will never stop shedding tears over this.

I try to imagine myself telling someone I love that I’m proud of them, and it makes me feel suspicious of *myself*! Like did I really not believe my precious person could achieve something?

“I’m proud of you” immediately darkens my mood. To me, it implies that you thought so little of me that I couldn’t accomplish something. Give me a “Nice, I knew you could do it!” instead.

Kurogane desperately holds onto Fai by his wrist as he is being prevented from leaving the world. Fai yells “Go!”

Kurogane lets go of Fai’s wrist. Indescribable emotions on Fai’s face. Then he heard a slash and looks up in shock.

Kurogane has sliced his arm off with his sword. His arm thuds to the ground next to Fai.

His arm becomes the center of the curse as it has more magic in it than Fai’s body. Kurogane leaves his arm and sword, grabs Fai by the scruff of his coat, and pulls him out of the closing world.
