Millie, Geo and Becca say "Greetings!" in the same twisted text in return, indicating they know at least some of this person's language. panel 2: Millie says, still in the other language, "We have come to trade. Many of the peculiar characters have ducked back down into the holes they were sheltering in. Gathy has not moved much. Becca has walked away from the bartering trio of millie, geo, and nomad trader. Becca says, "Let's leave all the work to those two. How are you doing?" Gathy says "Confused and annoyed."

When you really think about it, on a social level, it's more like Tim got absorbed than a real fusion. The amalgam has Millie's job, Millie's car, and Millie's parents. Millie persists in the same way Jaime did. Tim ghosted all his friends when they needed him and disappeared. He's dead.
