Can we honestly say that atm our system is designed to have a 'child-centred pedagogy' that is capable of meeting needs? I mean some high profile people on edutwitter disparage the idea that anything should be 'child-centred' at all. They literally say, 'If you don't like it go somewhere else.' 😒

Personally I think that a great starting point for discussions on 'what do we do about SEND in education?' is to go back to the Salamanca Statement and remember what 'inclusion' originally meant. The way that the system itself works has become the cause of exclusion for many CYP imho.

The most precious commodity you have is your attention. You don’t have to waste it on poor-faith debates or arguments with strangers if you don’t think they’ll be productive. You can prioritize the things that matter to you and make your life richer.
