I wrote to M&S about the stupid lingerie department story - confirms nobody offered a bra fitting to a teenage girl. The Telegraph and JK can (always) do one.

(As a side note, GC activists love to emphasise pregnancy and birth as an experience of “womanhood” that needs to be protected but, quite apart from how false that is as a binary in terms of who can get pregnant, it’s also nonsense in terms of who you might interact with as a pregnant person.)

Just today I asked a male (!!!!!!) shop assistant in Boots about maternity pads. This level of proposed segregation by sex is truly Victorian in its morality and moral panic.

JK Rowling tweeting got a boycott of M&S, stretching facts to the breaking point, and making the world a worse place for absolutely everyone.

The employee asked the girl and her mother if they needed help shopping. That’s it. That’s all. The misinformation, the insinuations (because the facts are inconveniently benign) are EXACTLY what was done to lesbians in the 80s. This is the product of hate and fear, not reality.

Ignorance and low expectations are entrenched. Funding of the required access adjustments is vital.

Young people with SEND deserve equitable access to education.

In the UK, being disabled means proving you’re struggling - but not too much.

Needing help - but not being “dependent".

Masking - then being told you’re fine.

The system is designed to break us.

But our needs are valid.

And we won’t disappear quietly.

I’ve noticed a strange, paradoxical mentality in some people who seem to simultaneously believe that London is basically Gotham City - terrifyingly full of crime and fundamentally unsafe - but also that the people who live there know nothing of ‘real struggles’?

They want to take us back to the 19th century when women knew their place and were forced to rigidly conform to gender norms. Yet they claim to be supporting women's rights.
