They recovered over 180 bullet shells at the CDC. Debris from shattered glass is still being cleaned up. I am completely stunned at how quickly the news cycle has moved on. This was an act of terrorism targeting public health experts, and the response seems to be a collective shrug.

The landlord gutting America’s hospitals Medical Properties Trust buys up hospitals and then leases them back to health care systems. Dozens of its hospitals have gone belly up.

One reason so many American hospitals are struggling? Investors buy them up, then suck them dry, charging such high rents that services are gutted.

Meet Julie K Brown, the woman who brought down Jeffrey Epstein It was by focusing on his silenced victims, says the dogged Miami Herald reporter, that she was able to help bring the billionaire sex offender to justice

‪Never forget that the real hero in all this is the Miami Herald reporter Julie K. Brown.

It was Brown's three-part investigative report that led to Epstein's arrest.

Without her dogged work, Epstein might still be raping children.

I think putting it in terms like that puts it into perspective.

States move to keep doctors’ names off of abortion pill prescription labels Doctors are pushing for laws that would make it harder to detect who prescribed abortion pills. They say it would protect them from out-of-state prosecutions.

In states like Texas & Louisiana, lawmakers are increasing their efforts to go after abortion providers, including those who mail pills from out-of-state — a key source of abortion.

Now, blue states are responding, pushing new legislation that could make it harder to prosecute those doctors.
