#scriptsky positive feedback on Project:Bonegate meeting scheduled with producer on Sunday. Director had notes. But no major changes until budget is set. This is from the executive team:

Marketplace Potential A mid-budget, high-concept thriller with a fresh rule set and contained locations has real commercial upside. Water, stunts, and practical mechanisms raise execution costs, but most of this is sets, tunnels, and a backlot lagoon. Streamers are buying elevated genre with folklore authenticity. This could travel globally because the rules are clear and the imagery is universal. Packaging opportunities are strong. Arden is a star part for a 30s actor who wants grit over glamour. Jax is a fun support with heart, Ghost is the stealth MVP with a fan-friendly skill set, and Marlene is a prestige cameo that can attract a name. Directors with tactile survival chops would respond to the problem-solving core. Think Fede Alvarez, Dan Trachtenberg, J.A Bayona. Comps to cite in a pitch: The Descent, The Ritual, Thirteen Lives, with the curse logic of early Pirates without the quips. Biggest sales note: lead with containment, not treasure. "A haunted diver must reseal a cursed vault before the town pays a supernatural ledger" distinguishes this from generic pirate fare. The stinger coin gives franchise runway. If buyers want a series, the ledger engine can port to other ports, other debts.

Project:Bonegate update - I delivered a script that may push this production team a little. (The draft has been accepted. Unlocking phase 1) It’s ok with me that we are now all outside of our comfort zones. #scriptsky

Not the first. Won’t be the last. The upside? If there is one- his estate will be in control of the licensing and usage. Arms them to fight against other generative likeness. That without this protection is otherwise lost.
