Someone on threads expressed bafflement that horror becomes popular during trying political times but it's pretty simple as far as i'm concerned: engaging in horror you control by walking away or fast forwarding or turning it off is a way of controlling fear versus a world that blasts you with it.

This is so true! Yep, life gets in the way, book promotion, socials, newsletters, website, blog etc. etc... but #writing is our live blood.
