Companies focusing on AI and needing to reduce staff because of the perceived benefit and the upfront cost to implement are going to come to significant crossroads when things level off and they need to rehire staff. The time it will take to ramp these people back up is going to be crazy.

You can usually tell when a huge Youtube creator is burning out and I am never sure if I should feel bad for them or the staff they hired to keep the illusion of them being authentic.

I wish there were a way to save drafts on this app. I have typed so many posts or deleted posts after the fact because they were a fleeting thought or they had a mistake and needed to be corrected.

I know why a companies first response when an employee hits another employee is to terminate. I have rarely seen any in depth investigation on why things elevated to violence. Usually the person getting hit is an ass and everyone knows they will sue the company because of it.

The US penny no longer being minted is a joke, it will start back up within 4 years. What they really should do is say the penny will no longer be accepted in 10 years. Remove the value of it completely so all those hoarders finally cash them in before they are valueless.

People that complain about AI voice-overs have never had to deal with a voice talent screw up the same line 5 times only for you to have to fix it in post manually editing the multiple takes to get one good track. I would rather edit text than alter wave forms.

When I switched over from twitter I just followed as many accounts as I could find that I was following. I should have left the news accounts alone, they seem to chase trends and not verify it first. I think I will just add them back to twitter and let that be my crazy site and this my calm one.

I think for years people in power got used to the general public forgetting about the horrible decisions they made but it feels like everyone has just setup a reminder on their phones to no longer let things go. I am okay with this change.

I bought a heated poncho that uses a rechargeable power pack. It is designed for women but I don't care because it has a hood and I look amazing in it.

Watching holiday commercials and I wonder what that meeting was like trying to justify the budget spend with a large portion of their consumers not spending money right now. I can just hear Thad yelling at the ad agency "SEND IT!"

Through the Struggle
Poet: Catherine Pulsifer
When life feels heavy, hard to bear,
And burdens meet you everywhere,
Just take a breath, then take a stand,
You hold more strength than you had planned.

Do you ever feel bad for an actor that gets popular for one thing but you know because of their appearance they will more than likely never achieve that sort of success again. You want to tell them to take as many cash deals as possible while they are still hot.

A friend told me he has decided to drive to his parents house this Thanksgiving with his entire family. It is about a 25 hour drive and taking shifts he thinks it will be a pretty easy trip. He told me a horror story the last time they flew and I think I would drive as well. Road trips are back!!

We are a couple of generations away from many large cities becoming ghost towns if they do not figure out their aging housing issues. New building cost to much for most and older buildings can not meet the power demands that a modern person uses.

I got an email from a reputable organization asking its users to beg the government be reopened for SNAP to be funded. The same organization before the shutdown request we ask congress to do something about healthcare. They are partial funded by the government so I am sensing some bias.

Seeing these publicly traded companies take huge financial risks that hurt their long term growth but more importantly the people whose retirement is wrapped up with them and they have no real say so. Watching a company die in 20 years because they were greedy and did not care for stability first.

Once you see and hear enough AI generated images and videos it becomes much easier to pick them out from the real thing. They are just missing the randomness of a human.

Reading this article "10 great things about Windows 11" and the entire thing just felt forced. It was trying so hard to push a narrative. I know people have to get paid but don't lie, just say you were hired to write the article and you were given bullet points on what needed to be in it.

Starting to get a little worried about celebrities. When you look at a list of celebrity birthdays they seem to be 55 or older. There just does not seem to be a large number of 20 somethings that are considered mainstream celebrity. What happened to the talent pool?
