Companies focusing on AI and needing to reduce staff because of the perceived benefit and the upfront cost to implement are going to come to significant crossroads when things level off and they need to rehire staff. The time it will take to ramp these people back up is going to be crazy.

You can usually tell when a huge Youtube creator is burning out and I am never sure if I should feel bad for them or the staff they hired to keep the illusion of them being authentic.

People that complain about AI voice-overs have never had to deal with a voice talent screw up the same line 5 times only for you to have to fix it in post manually editing the multiple takes to get one good track. I would rather edit text than alter wave forms.

When I switched over from twitter I just followed as many accounts as I could find that I was following. I should have left the news accounts alone, they seem to chase trends and not verify it first. I think I will just add them back to twitter and let that be my crazy site and this my calm one.

I think for years people in power got used to the general public forgetting about the horrible decisions they made but it feels like everyone has just setup a reminder on their phones to no longer let things go. I am okay with this change.

A friend told me he has decided to drive to his parents house this Thanksgiving with his entire family. It is about a 25 hour drive and taking shifts he thinks it will be a pretty easy trip. He told me a horror story the last time they flew and I think I would drive as well. Road trips are back!!

We are a couple of generations away from many large cities becoming ghost towns if they do not figure out their aging housing issues. New building cost to much for most and older buildings can not meet the power demands that a modern person uses.

I got an email from a reputable organization asking its users to beg the government be reopened for SNAP to be funded. The same organization before the shutdown request we ask congress to do something about healthcare. They are partial funded by the government so I am sensing some bias.

Seeing these publicly traded companies take huge financial risks that hurt their long term growth but more importantly the people whose retirement is wrapped up with them and they have no real say so. Watching a company die in 20 years because they were greedy and did not care for stability first.

Once you see and hear enough AI generated images and videos it becomes much easier to pick them out from the real thing. They are just missing the randomness of a human.
