Green supporters pretending not to understand why I am annoyed about their misuse of my words and image on their leaflets will now be blocked without warning. I’ve explained it several times at length. Life is too short for this nonsense.

You were favourites to win the WECA mayoral election.

You came third. We can all see through the 🐂💩.

My thoughts are with Epstein’s victims.

They certainly aren’t with ambitious, transphobic, middle-aged men in Labour trying to further their own political agenda.

Fury as council puts Southmead's 'community heart' up for auction again "When we need to do all we can to prevent youth violence, it is beyond comprehension the council is selling to the highest bidder"

As for Anas Sarwar. Try winning for Scotland.

Supporting trans people and the great diversity of 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 would be a good start 😡

My message to Keir Starmer.

No more stupid decisions.

Listen to Darren Jones MP.

Listen to Councillor Kaz Self.

But most importantly - listen to the people.

Solar, wind, tidal, battery storage - clean power all championed by this Labour Govt. and our WECA mayor Helen Godwin.

Some political parties hate net-zero. Others are so busy pandering to the hard left they’ve forgotten what they stand for.

Labour will deliver lower prices and sustainable energy

“Vote for me because I’m the bookies favourite and I’ll say any old shite to get elected”

Modus operandi for the Green Party, witness their WECA mayoral campaign last year.

Their candidate - “I won’t put bus gates on Park Street”

Their councillors - “24hr bus gates please”

Reform enablers.

This has been an abysmal week for national Labour, so I welcome the resignation of Morgan McSweeney (although I would have sacked him long ago).

A full reset of national Labour decision making is now needed. And that includes more diverse voices & less group think advising No. 10

No more mistakes.

It's important to remember we're not "all the same."

Across Labour, there are hundreds of hardworking MPs, councillors and activists who are want to deliver change in their communities. We cannot let "Scandelson" get in the way of our values.

I have made it quite clear removing central white lines is a dodgy policy.

It was me (on 27/1/26) who complained to BCC Head of Highways about the zebra in Fishponds- repainted in hours.

This week the Bristol Green Party have a choice whether to use CAZ money for highways maintenance or not.

I inhaled traffic fumes to find out where air pollution goes in my body BBC health correspondent James Gallagher gets his blood analysed to understand how air pollution is killing us.

After just 10 minutes in a busy road, pollution was detectable in the blood.

Bristol Green Party were happy to vote for more pollution outside the BRI and Children’s hospital 24/7.

And are yet to take action on van dwellers with wood burning stoves near family homes.

I have felt livid this week - for the poor young women and girls who should be our first priority.

For the betrayal of the people in leaking of sensitive government information.

And for the continual erosion of trust in politics and politicians.

I promise you we are not all the same.

If you say you are a mathematician by trade and make decisions by logic and data, then you’ll always get my attention.

This lady should be proud of herself for organising a march that has shown the strength of feeling for some about the SBLN.

A reminder that the Green Party candidate was ‘favourite to win’ the WECA election.

The end result could have been a Reform mayor who may well have scrapped millions of £’s of sustainable travel improvements.

Vote Green:-
Risk getting Reform
Risk the environment

Don’t believe the Polanski hype

Southville residents protest over liveable neighbourhood plans About 80 shop owners and residents have marched to protest plans for a liveable neighbourhood.

I get the number 2 bus to get to council meetings.

I can be waiting 15 minutes at the stop.

I can be waiting at a stop without a shelter.

In the middle of the day the bus down Park Street can take 2 minutes.

When I surveyed Park St businesses, they have mixed views.

Air quality concerns me

Harriet Harman spot on here.

I had hoped for a reset. With the appointment of Darren as CS to the PM I saw encouraging signs things might change. The last week has blown that out of the water.

I would never have appointed Mandelson.

I would sack Morgan McSweeney.

Starmer needs to get a grip.

Interesting to see a Bristol Green councillor singing the praises of former Mayor Rees last night.

Perhaps their 2025 Metro Mayor candidate will be launching a #BringBackTheMayor campaign? You know the candidate - the one who said they wouldn’t close Park Street on a BBC Politics show 🤔.

The public have made clear there is not enough support to justify ‘modal filters’ in Southville and Windmill Hill. Many say it will be disruptive to their day-to-day lives, and many more think it’s unnecessary. As it stands, the plans are, at best, very divisive.

Residents want what’s best for their community. Their concerns are far from ideological - they are well-informed and reasonable. We remain concerned that installing roadblocks in a neighbourhood that already has relatively low levels of traffic will create more challenges than it solves.

We have put forward a proposal to reallocate the £900,000 set to be spent on developing this scheme further towards alternative measures to improve road safety and active travel in BS3, the specifics of which will be guided by the views and priorities of the local community.

The Green Party’s attempts to sideline local voices, such as when they tried to block a valid petition against the road closures from being heard, risk setting a poor precedent. Residents must be put first. The council should go back to the drawing board and co-design solutions with the community.

Today, we will vote against further spending on the South Bristol Liveable Neighbourhood so the funding can be invested in other road safety measures in the area instead.

Pride in Place launch - ruined

Good news that more stability in economy - ruined

Good news on child benefit cap being lifted - ruined

Good news on cancer treatment in NHS - ruined

Anybody with an ounce of common sense would never have appointed Mandelson.

McSweeney has to go as a bare minimum.
