We live west of Xerxes, so not even remotely close to Bryant Ave, so either they were hapless, or that it was enough of a wedge issue that people would get riled about one bike lane miles away.

I spent some time thinking about this in 2023 elections. Kate Mortenson and her aides came to our NNO block party, and her aide shook my hand & the first "policy" topic he wanted me to know was how Kate was opposed to the Bryant Ave bike lane. Made me think they had some prior success on that angle

Every jar I've had from Mrs. Renfros has been bad. We got the nacho cheese sauce for a recipe and yuck, not good.

I used to live on 17th Ave S in Powderhorn. Our block maintained a circle and it was effort to coordinate and fundraise for the circle garden. They were trying to revive it so it was likely more effort than typical. If the couple who coordinated it moved, it is easy to imagine it going to weed.

I guess I understand the why but it makes me sad that these are now fully cement as opposed to circles of dirt for community-supported gardens. They replaced the ones near my house 2 years ago from just curb circles with dirt (and filled with flowers) to full cement discs.

We got Wusthof knives for a wedding present 10 years ago and haven't looked back. We use them daily and exclusively wash in the dishwasher and there isn't a sign of wear on them. Great knives

I think you can debate the relative cost-benefit of the lounges but damn if they aren’t really nice, convenient and relaxing. If you are planning on eating and drinking, then they are definitely worth it. My wife and I no longer drink so we dropped them but I rue it every time I’m the airport.

Yeah, we bought it used at about 40,000 miles and drove it for another 100,000. Other than very basic maintenance (oil change, brakes, tires) we did basically no work on it. All that deferred maintenance came due of course, but at that point we were ready to move on anyways.

We recently sold our '16 Ford Escape and the infotainment system was largely non-functional the entire time we owned it. The bluetooth stopped working after a year and the backup camera shorted a couple years later. Terrible software AND hardware. Same issue in my '14 Focus. Not bad cars otherwise

In retrospect, maybe the first week of summer isn't the time for the outdoor waterpark week. Especially since they have a different theme every week.

What a week for my kids first week of summer camp which was themed "Splash into the Summer" with pools or water play every day. At least they had today.
