that’s totally reasonable, there’s definitely a trade off with config languages where designing them to work for big corporate stuff makes them a complicated PITA for side projects lol

toml for config over either one of these, YAML’s poorly defined ruleset and whitespace has gotten me a number of times at work
you’re right about json’s lack of comment support being annoying, hopefully the change to support that will get used more widely

this is super cool, I love these sorts of coding+music intersections!
