#ArtBoost today is for DJ Washington (I can't find him on BSky), palaeoartist and conservation biology graduate based in the US, producing striking, bold, sometimes stylized art of ancient animals. It sure would be incredible if a book called MESOZOIC ART II included a section of his art, right?

Another new species for me from the king tides - a Tidepool clingfish! (Gobiesox maeandricus). 2 cm long (max = 16cm). These have a little suction cup under their head. They feed on chitons, limpets, juv. crustaceans, other fish, & live from Alaska to Baja, 0-20 meters. 🦀 🦑 #tidepooling 📸OlympusTG6

Clatonoth: Ill tempered, and territorial, this large herbivores of the great Thorn plains lived in herds with one dominant Bull and 15 to 20 cows with related calves. During mating seasons, bulls tussle and wrestle one another. Lone bulls are dangerous even when got seperated from herds, they use their claws and front legs to grapple and wrestle predators and hunters into submissions. When enraged their crest getting hotter and will sports redish hue, their crest are hollow and have holes to excess heat when attacks and pumping their adrenaline.

Sprinoor riders. A sketch of my spec-evo setting with sophont maniraptorans Gnizdars that have oviraptosaur mounts called Sprinoors (right here those are tamed, wild animals). Sprinoor mounts are used mainly in travel, as they are much more adapted for speed than gnizdars. They are also less aggressive or skittish that other similar animals in their habitat.
