The shadows look cool, but I think they work better as a situational gimmick rather than a constant visual effect. That is, unless they’re tied directly into the gameplay loop.

First enemy design I’ve done with the NES palette: the Tithe Warden.

Early test footage from my Sega Genesis–inspired platformer. Right now I’ve got running, jumping, sliding, a bouncing projectile attack, and a fixed 480×270 internal resolution that snaps everything to a pixel grid for a more Genesis-faithful look.
