Girl Dad x 3, UM Regent, Lawyer.
Jewish Organizations are failing Jewish Americans.

Jordan has been a strong voice for fairness, access, and opportunity in higher education. His leadership embodies the values we strive for every day @jordanackermi.bsky.social

We will not stop fighting for the right of our doctors to practice medicine free from political interference.
27.08.2025 15:01 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 3 π 1This is not our choice. This is not a reflection of our values. It is a forced hand by federal intimidation.
Gender-affirming care is lifesaving. Every major medical association knows this. We remain steadfast in our support of trans youth and their families.
This is one of the most anguished decisions the University of Michigan has ever faced.
Our doctors were threatened by the Trump Administration: provide gender-affirming care to minors and risk losing your licenseβor face jail.
Doctors, nurses, and staff at Michigan Medicine are being threatenedβjust for caring for patients. This isnβt just an attack on health care. Itβs an assault on our values, weaponizing the federal government against the vulnerable.
26.08.2025 14:52 β π 3 π 2 π¬ 0 π 0Great chat last week with The βͺ@chronicle.com of Higher Education on keeping institutions moving forward in turbulent times.
Thanks to @reporterdavidj.bsky.social , Leslie Brunelli, and @jordanackermi.bsky.social for their insights.

Ok friends, we are literally $130 dollars from our goal for the quarter with 2 hours to go. Help me get this done so we can be in great shape for 2026?

They did not have this in the parking lot of my local Meijer otherwise I might have a dozen of them.
05.07.2025 00:54 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0There arenβt sufficient words to describe the presidentβs rants this morning, but Iβll say this again:
Attacking a Jewish U.S. Senator as βPalestinianβ is both antisemitic and racist at the same time β intended to divide us into βgoodβ and βbadβ Jews in a way that makes all of us less safe.
Happy Birthday to @jeremymoss.bsky.social who is celebrating his last 30s birthday by running for Congress. Support him? secure.actblue.com/donate/moss_...
23.06.2025 19:52 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0SLOTKIN: Have you given the order to be able to shoot at unarmed protesters in any way?
HEGSETH: What is that based on?
SLOTKIN: It is based on Trump giving that order to your predecessor, who I give a lot of credit to bc he didn't accept the order. He has more guts & balls than you
Yes. According to Army protocol, congressional staff are VIP Code 5, with a rank equivalent to a two-star general/admiral. Members of Congress are of course significantly higher.
I have never seen USCP, FPS, or any other federal LEO treat any Member with anywhere near this disrespect and violence.
As President Grasso said, this was behavior outside the scope of their orders and these contracts have been rightly terminated.

Every Jewish elected I know in the country has received an FBI-referred threat since 10/7.
And yes, police details are now the norm.
In the Obama administration, the President hired Jeb Bush's (extremely competent) Emergency Management head because of his experience with Florida hurricane season, and also the disaster that was Katrina.
Now, this:
Having known Abdul since college (we met while taking Arab Israeli Conflict Class at U-M!), I know what a fundamentally decent person he is.
This is just another example of it.
We don't have to agree on everything to care about each other or see each other as people.
Agreed.
Peaceful protest, within the laws, is not only acceptable, it is as American as can be.
Throwing urine jars through my window, attacking the Governor of PA, shooting people at a Jewish event in DC, now this.
None of this is legal, none of this helps Palestinians or Israelis either.
We are tired of explaining that this is antisemitism.
Weβre tired of asking people to care.
But we keep showing up β because the alternative is silence. And weβve seen where that leads.
You can hold whatever political views you want. You can oppose the war. You can protest policy by Israeli leaders (heck, many Israelis do!)
But if you think attacking Jews on the street is activism, youβve crossed a moral line. Thatβs not justice β thatβs hate.
Weβve reached a point where just being visibly Jewish β praying, speaking Hebrew, calling for the release of innocent people β is enough to be a target.
Itβs terrifying. Itβs dehumanizing. And itβs not new. But it is getting worse.
I spoke with a CU Regent after the attack. These werenβt students protesting. This wasnβt a political clash.
It was Jews, peacefully standing in public, asking for hostages to come home. And they were hunted down. In America. In 2025.
Today, a peaceful Jewish community group stood on a street in Boulder, calling on Hamas to release innocent hostages.
They were followed, harassed, and physically attacked.
It was antisemitism. And honestly? Itβs exhausting. A thread.
