I am the gamer of my friend group and with them I play fifa. If I told them that next time we buy a console it’s a steam machine and we don’t have to pay monthly for multiplayer they’d be ecstatic. But I don’t think they’d buy PCs.

The best time for big branches on bonsai would be to cut as the buds are swelling in the spring, or after the first set of leaves mature in June.

Doesn’t make sense to me to cut a tree when dormant because then it can’t heal itself and it would just wait all winter with an open wound.

I am not an arborist but I study bonsai and there are two times when we would cut Japanese maples. If they aren’t super major branches you’d cut them within the two weeks after leaf drop. Leave a couple inches of nub for 18 months and cut it flush later.

I've recently gotten into hand tools for woodworking and went to a NH tool swap meet. It's dope that a saw or hand plane that's 110 years is as good or better than modern ones. Just gotta learn to sharpen them and they can last another 100 years.
