If a judge found out that I threatened to send someone to Eswatini if they didn’t plead guilty, two things would happen:

So you’re a Democrat because you believe that democrats will vote to make minority rights equal to majority rights.

Did I get that right?

This is what I’m trying to get to the bottom of. When I was a candidate, I spent hundreds of hours calling donors who would not donate unless I was their type of Democrat.

So if you were a Democrat, what would that mean?

I’ll go first: I’m a democrat because I believe in a more expansive interpretation of the preambles language that says that the government should “provide for the common defense and promote the general welfare.”

I’ve been thinking about this for a while:

There is so much discourse on what the Democratic Party needs to do, what we want from our elected officials, that we shouldn’t have purity tests, etc.

But what I want to know is this: why are you a Democrat?

But I mean also yes we are already energy independent, the forecasts just aren’t great.

Fossil fuels won’t be able to keep up with the demand of the next 50 years. Emerging technologies are THIRSTY for energy, and our current production won’t keep up.

It’s already estimated that we need 500 new nuclear power plants by 2050 to meet demand and export energy for dominance.

And energy independence is the key to America’s global future.

We could be energy independent today had Ronald Reagan not killed off solar panel manufacturing in the 80’s.

It’s not too late to correct that mistake, but we have to start now.

Democrats will say its guns, Republicans will say its mental health.

But Dems have worked to fund mental healthcare while Republicans have crusaded to end it. We've tried to come for the guns, but Republicans have sat on their hands. We're the only ones acting to end a solvable issue.

That’s over 1/3 of recipients for those keeping track at home.

The attack on public education embarrassingly sloppy and is being carried out by people trying to bring “competency” back to education.

Individual polls should not dictate policy or be used for false hope, but trends should still be accounted for.

Until we find a new way to take the temperature of the population, we need to figure out how to use the tools we have most effectively.

Only 13% of moderates say they wouldn’t vote.

I take your point about nationwide trends, but I’m mainly concerned with SC where our districts rely on moderates to vote dem because of our “F” rated gerrymandered maps.

Our party has a problem with overly relying on polls, I’ll grant you. But when they all align like this, I think we’d be foolish to ignore them.

Not only that, but we’re countering a narrative that republicans are “entitled” to more seats when the numbers look like this.

If the midterms were held today, a new poll from The Economist has independents voting for the democratic candidate by TEN points.

If this redistricting war continues, the GOP is going to have to eat their own shoes.

The wave is blue, and it is coming.

I was asked this on a fundraising call today.
