Despite myself, I saw the new Fantastic Four movie earlier, and without spoiling...I don't think I've ever seen a film where the deus ex machina was responsible for firing Chekhov's proverbial gun.

Regardless of fts perception as a one-hit wonder overseas (allowing for Todd's usual caveats), here Dow Under it's part of our musical heritage and canon forever more. Can't say that about most other songs that Todd has covered in this series (except Midnight Oils' " Beds Are Burning", which reached no. 1 8 in the aforementioned countdown).
