I told HR at my last art job that switching me to contract after a year would be a death sentence, because the resume algorithm doesn't care why you haven't stayed at a job (pandemic, layoffs, etc), you look like the problem. And any disability like my diabetes is a cost/benefit loss to most places.

I'm not the one moving, thankfully, but with rent these days I may need to consider it. No, this will be the 7th or 8th time in 3 years this person is moving somewhere else. I wanted to help them out of what they said a bad situation, but it seems more in hindsight they were the one exacerbating it.

I am getting out of a living situation now with someone like that; a person who used their therapy experiences to justify burning bridges with people as the first solution rather than as a last resort. All people can have flaws and selfish traits, them and myself included, but you gotta do the work.

A little sketch for our opening night! I've been apart of a kind, intelligent, and collaborative cast/crew in a production of The Curious Case of the Dog in the Night Time and it has been the highlight of a very tenuous 2025. It has strengthened my belief in the power of theatre and art right now.

Alex Toth was the main designer for 60s-70s programming like Space Ghost, Super Friends, Birdman, etc. Newer Disney would be someone like Jin Kim. @jametc.bsky.social has some great character designs too. Glen Keane, Andrea Dejas, and Eric Goldberg for the Disney Renaissance. I'm sure there's more!

Claire Hummel has worked for Valve, did designs for Bioshock Infinite, and did a series of period appropriate Disney Princess costumes thatbwere great. As far as the 9 Old Men from Disney, Mark Davis designed a lot of the women, Frank Thomas, Ollie Johnston, ward Kimball, Milt Kahl did the rest.

Depends on your tastes. Kris Anka developed a lot of the character and costume work for Spiderverse. Moebius if you're looking for the 80s Sci-fi look. Amano designed the Final Fantasy look, while Akira Toriyama was Dragon Quest and Chrono Trigger. Tom Herpich, Jesse Moynihan, Steve Wolfhard for AT.
